- 650g of pressed coconut fiber are mixed with 8 liters of growing soil (with the addition of max. 4 liters of water per brick)
- 1 packet of minerals to mix into the substrate
- suitable for all types of worms (Dendrobena, compost worms (dung worms), earthworms,..)
Our special breeding soil consists of organic material (coconut fibers), which the worms eat over time and process into valuable worm humus. The loose and aerobic structure of the coconut fibers is ideal for worms. The Alpenwurm coconut bricks are specially tested for compatibility with worms, as many conventional coconut fiber bricks have too high a salt content. Each pack of breeding soil comes with 1 packet of mineral additive, which should be mixed into the substrate - this provides additional minerals for digestion and cocoon formation.
The breeding soil arrives in a pressed and dry form (in the shape of a brick). The brick is placed in a bucket of at least 10L and swollen with the addition of 4L of water. The packet with the mineral additive is then mixed in - earthworms of all kinds love this fine, loose environment.
Tip: Use our accessories and avoid unnecessary dirt in your home. With our worm sieve and the bucket for the worm sieve, you can take care of your worms without any "mistakes".
SAVING TIP: buy only coconut bricks without mineral additives and mix the right amount yourself mineral mix (approx. 50ml per brick).
**Attention: For a balanced diet of the worms, additional feeding with worm food or organic waste is necessary**
